Rules and Regulations
- In the Vidyalaya, students are strictly not allowed to eat or bring objectionable articles of food (kandmuls) forbidden by Jain Shastras. Smoking and playing cards are strictly prohibited and will be considered misconduct.
- No student will remain absent after 10 P.M. at night without written permission from the Superintendent. Roll call may be taken at 10 P.M. daily. No student should leave the institution after roll call without the express permission of the Superintendent. Any student absenting himself from the institution without permission will be liable to a fine. Repeated breaches of this rule will be strictly dealt with, including cancellation of admission.
- Every student will have to behave properly and should not disturb his roommates or inmates of adjoining rooms by talking or reading loudly or by any other means. Birthday celebrations, loud talking, or playing carrom in rooms are strictly prohibited.
- Cot, bed, and bedsheets will be supplied. Students will have to hand over a full account of all the belongings supplied to them for their care to the management while leaving the Vidyalaya. If a student leaves the Vidyalaya without completing the formalities, his mess deposit will be forfeited and next year's admission will not be considered.
- Students can play only those games in the Vidyalaya premises which are allowed.
- Parents, guardians, relatives, and friends can meet the student in the common room only. No guest or visitor will be allowed after 9:30 P.M. Guests are not allowed to stay in the hostel during the night. Lady guests are strictly not permitted in the room at any time.
- It is the duty of all resident students to see that the walls and doors of the rooms allotted to them are not spoiled by fixing nails or by scratches or marks by pencil or other means. Students should not fix or paste papers on window glasses and their rooms must be in a clean and orderly condition. They should not use unoccupied seats or rooms without the previous permission of the Superintendent. The Superintendent is entitled to check the room and belongings of the resident students at any time.
- The lights in the room should be switched off when not needed and must be switched off before going out. Extensions from the electric lamps or plugs are not allowed. For breaching this rule, all the room partners will be fined by the Superintendent.
- Staying and dining facilities are given according to the rules and regulations of the Vidyalaya. Management of the dining facility will be done according to the rules and regulations in cooperation with the students. The dining time will be decided by the Superintendent. The student who wants to keep his late dish for lunch will have to inform in advance. Strict actions will be taken against a student who keeps his late dish and does not eat. No late dish will be kept for dinner in the evening.
- No student will quarrel or argue with the cooks or the servants of the mess. If the student has any complaint against the mess staff, he should write in the mess register.
- Students should not hand over their personal work to the servants of the Vidyalaya. Common work will be done according to the instructions of the Superintendent.
- Every student will have to attend all the examinations whenever they are held and the results of the examinations will have to be submitted to the institution within 3 days of the result.
- No student is allowed to do any job or private tuition work.
- The admission list will be displayed on the notice board and no individual will be informed. The student whose admission is granted will have to pay his fees within three days. If he does not pay within three days, his admission will be canceled.
- The students who make mischief, misbehave, do not follow the rules, damage the building or the furniture of the institution, or do not attend the roll call or functions will be fined by the Superintendent, but for any serious matter, he will be reported to the Honorary Secretary and very strict actions will be taken against him.
- Students who want to take leave have to apply a day before to the Superintendent in the prescribed application form. Proxy applications are not allowed.
- Every year four functions are held in the Vidyalaya and it is obligatory for all students to attend. If it is not possible due to unavoidable circumstances, one will have to apply with proof in advance for permission.
- Those who will be fined, their names will be put on the notice board and they will have to pay the fine immediately to the office. Their parents and guardians will also be informed, and they may be called if required.
